| 1. Using basic conceptualisations of music theory (“solfège”), we introduce the use of different tools and functions (“objects”) within the MaxMSP software. |

進階電腦音樂(一)
◎課程內容: 此課程MaxMSP軟體的教學方式,主要是以作曲、音樂家為出發導向的教學法,依照作曲、音樂家需求進行程式的編寫,近一步的達到展演需求所需之軟體編寫規畫內容。 以初階之樂理概念,帶入MaxMSP 軟體內不同物件的使用方式,並帶領學生以需求、電子音樂演奏之形式回推使用物件的各種組合路徑,並分析各種路徑之成效。
◎課程進度: 學期課程介紹、MaxMSP軟體應用領域及可能性 MaxMSP 介面、MIDI簡介及基礎物件分類 基礎物件連結、介面測試、控制器連結 節奏、拍子物件與音高 抽象化 Abstraction 及 Patcher使用方式差異 隨機物件及使用方法 延遲 Delay 物件應用 期中考 搜集 Collection物件應用 數值比較物件 聲音物件應用 各種波形發生器及過濾方法 訊息Message 及 自動化 Automation 期末程式設計 期末程式評量及討論

Advanced Electronic Music (I)
◎Course Description: Teaching of MaxMSP software in this course is mainly based on composition and musician-oriented teaching methods. The curriculum focusses on the needs of composers, composition and musicians, and the software preparation and planning required. Using basic conceptualisations of music theory ("solfège"), we introduce the use of different tools and functions ("objects") within the MaxMSP software, and lead students to deduce the various combinations of "objects" against the backdrop of the demand and electronic music performance per se, and analyze the effects of various "paths".
